Diversity Assessment

Diversity Recruiting

Before beginning a recruiting assignment, we recommend that our clients conduct a diversity sourcing and recruitment assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to help identify areas of strength and weakness within the organization that may need to be addressed. Typical steps in the assessment include:

  • Reviewing the current sourcing and recruitment plans and strategies (if they exist);
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of client’s past sourcing strategies;
  • Reviewing the sourcing and recruitment systems, i.e., candidate database, resume tracking system, web interface, etc.;
  • Benchmarking “best practices” of relevant competitors;
  • Reviewing the New Employee Orientation processes;
  • Determining the client’s “candidate ready capability”;
  • Interviewing key hiring managers regarding their perceptions of sourcing and recruitment effectiveness;
  • Interviewing sourcing and recruitment staff to measure the effectiveness of their sourcing strategies and their interface with hiring managers;
  • Interviewing recent hires to determine their perceptions of client’s recruitment practices;
  • Contacting current candidate hiring sources to determine their satisfaction with our client’s hiring practices;
  • Determining the appropriateness of funding levels for client’s sourcing and recruitment efforts.
