ABOUT US

Since 1987, the Gideon Group has helped companies, entrepreneurs and project developers raise billions of dollars in corporate and project financing. We bring a unique perspective to business and project financing in that, during our early years, we worked in a consulting capacity developing strategic plans, feasibility studies and project analysis. In the ensuing years we have used the unique insight gained through our consultancy to raise significant capital via Gideon Capital Management while providing direct investment through the Gideon Investment Fund.

James Robinson

Chairman

For over thirty years Mr. Robinson has helped entrepreneurs, businesses and project developers raise billions of dollars from a variety of capital sources including hedge funds, conventional and hard-money lenders, angel investors, venture capital firms and strategic equity investors. Mr. Robinson has a Master of Science degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT where he was a COGME Fellow, Exxon Fellow and member of MENSA. He is also a former adjunct professor of Finance and Marketing at Argosy University.

Salman Khan

President & CEO

Mr. Khan’s breadth of expertise covers advisory and capital markets, trading and hedging, funds management, asset financing, asset monetization and research. He has held key positions in the Middle East region, including as a Global Head for the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, a $4 billion Indian conglomerate. Mr. Khan also helped launch Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s second national airline. Mr. Khan has a Bachelors of Liberal Arts and Masters of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies with a concentration in Management.

Connie Robinson

Chief Operating Officer

Connie Robinson has over 20 years of operational experience, most recently with Motorola’s $8 billion Semiconductor Products Sector. While there, she received the President’s Award, the highest award given to Motorola employees – the first time in Motorola’s history the award was given to a non-technical leader. Prior to Motorola, Ms. Robinson worked for the Arizona Supreme Court, Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and Dial Corporation. Ms. Robinson is a management graduate from Arizona State University,

Roy Dawson

Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Dawson has extensive experience as a human resources executive, having worked for Fortune 100 corporations including United Technologies & Honeywell. He has worked in Asia and Europe, where he was responsible for international management, global leadership development and intercultural relations. Mr. Dawson has an MBA from Pepperdine University, with certificates in International Management, and Executive Leadership from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Duke University and the University of Virginia.

Dr. Carlian Dawson

Director

Carlian Dawson, Ed.D., has nearly 30 years experience in education and management consulting. Her clients range from corporate CEOs to government officials to educational leaders. Senior management, supervisors and professionals have benefited from her skillful coaching, training and development techniques. She has also been recognized for her organization and leadership development and efficacy-based training. Dr. Dawson has a Masters Degree from Arizona State University and a Doctorate in Education from Illinois State University.
