Case Studies: DIVERSITY RECRUITING

Manufacturing

A Fortune 100 semiconductor manufacturer asked us to help increase the number of mid- to senior-level women and minority engineers, scientists and technologists. We formed relationships with key leaders, department heads, diversity champions and hiring managers. We then placed ads in local, regional and national magazines, newspapers, trade journals, radio and television. We also tapped our relationships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, alumni associations and professional networks and societies. Within three years we helped recruit more than 150 mid- and senior-level employees.

Financial Services

We were retained by a major insurance company to help develop a vehicle for bringing diverse talent into their organization.  After meetings with senior management and staff, it was decided that their claims training program was an ideal pathway into the organization.  By conducting targeted advertising and job postings, as well as utilizing our own internal database, we attracted more than 75 applicants, of which, approximately twenty were invited to participate in the interview process.  Of these, ten were presented to our client and two received offers of employment and accepted positions as Claims Representatives.

Public Sector

We worked with the Chief Justice of a state Supreme Court to increase the diversity of minority and female judges, lawyers and court personnel.  We met with regional Supreme Court personnel to discuss strategies and best practices approaches to attract, hire and retain legal talent. By forming relationships with the legal profession, state departments, city officials and community leaders, we signficantly increased the number of minority and female judges, lawyers and court personnel in the judiciary.
